A: Ask yourself what your life means to you.

Until you learn how to get clean and sober and stay clean and sober, you are not managing your life and you will not be able to teach your baby how to manage life.

I voluntarily relinquished my parental rights to my only son, because I was unable to teach him how to manage life, due to my addiction. And a stone-cold sober judge agreed with me.

It was the best thing for me to do for my son at the time. Turns out, it was the best thing for me to do for me too, because it left me with the time and energy I needed to learn how to get clean and sober and stay clean and sober, and why getting and staying clean and sober is worth the effort. And my former son is doing very well in college right now.
