Lincoln never freed all the slaves

On December 18 1865
after
Abraham Lincoln
had already been assassinated

the 13th Amendment
to the
Constitution
of the
United States
of America

that
abolished slavery

and
involuntary servitude

except as
punishment for a crime

was proclaimed by
Lincoln’s successor

Andrew Johnson

In 2022
in these great
United States of America

if you don’t quit
drinking and drugging

and

GetAFuckingSponsor
who will guide you
through the
traditional 12 Steps

and

into the
happy good life

you risk
living the living hell
of being enslaved

Visit any prison
in the United States
and you will learn that

half of the people
are there
due to
drug and alcohol
charges and convictions

States that pay prisoners
for their labor
pay prisoners
between
$0.12 and $1.15
an hour

The Federal government
pays prisoners
$0.90
an hour

The U.S.
minimum wage is
$7.25
an hour

Those prison wages
are slave wages

Some prisons
pay their prisoners
$0
for their work

That’s slavery

constitutionally-legal slavery

in these great United States

addicts risk enslavement
simply because they
never harmed anyone
but themselves
and
need to recover
from addiction

It’s like
getting locked up
for
breaking your leg
after
slipping on a banana peel

Would you
put someone in prison
just because
he broke his leg?

Prisoners must work
unless they are disabled

No prisoner gets paid
if he calls in sick

If a prisoner
causes any
trouble at work
he is confined
to solitary

If a prisoner
complains about
the work
he is confined
to solitary
or
worse

This
ever-so-pleasant situation
is called
penal labor

Penal labor
is not
an old man
trying to get it up

Penal labor
is slavery

In the U.S. alone
there are
2,000,000 addicts
who are
serving prison sentences
or are
locked up jail

Those
2,000,000 prisoners
are locked up
because they
never hurt anyone
but themselves

Addicts’ convictions
and their
subsequent enslavement
is a
human-rights violation

Prisons profit
by
forcing addicts
who
suffer from
a mental health disorder
(called “severe
substance use disorder”)
to work for
little or no pay

and then
selling prisoners’
work product
for profit

Prisons also
deny addicts
a proper
continuing education
because

“The most dangerous thing
in America is a
nigger with a library card”

according to
Brother Muzone in
The Wire

In 2018
one in 45
black male
United States citizens
was in prison
and
more still in jails

In 1865
the
13th Amendment

that
“freed the slaves”

actually
legalized slavery
for
incarcerated addicts

Addiction is so powerful
and
addicts are so insane

that
addicts risk
living the living hell
of being enslaved

for
just
one more bump
or
one more drink

If you don’t
GetAFuckingSponsor
who will guide you
through the
traditional 12 Steps

you risk
living the living hell
of being enslaved

It was
imminent risk
of imprisonment
that scared
Anonymous clean

Just because
there’s only been

a single successful
slave revolt

in all of
recorded human history

doesn’t mean
there can’t be
a second one

And that’s
The Truth
