Q: Is it possible for two addicts to get clean and stay together without falling back into addiction? Any stories of success in this?

A: In all my years of studying addiction recovery, I have only witnessed one addicted couple stay clean and sober. It takes hard work and dedication from both of them every single day to do it.

#1. They share a room in a sober living facility.

#2. They regularly meet with their addiction recovery sponsors.

#3. They faithfully work the Narcotics Anonymous (NA) 12 Steps.

#4. They go to NA meetings at least five times a week.

#5. They understand that they can’t have each other, unless they both stay clean and sober.

#6. They truly love each other, and make the cutest couple.
